Brad Pitt Bid $120,000 to Watch 'Game of Thrones' With Emilia Clarke
The actor really, really wanted a chance to hang out with the Mother of Dragons.
Winter is here for Brad Pitt.
On Saturday night, Pitt attended an auction for Sean Penn’s annual charity gala for the J/P Haitian Relief Organization. During the event, Pitt bid $120,000 for a chance to watch an episode of Game of Thrones with Daenerys Targaryen herself, Emilia Clarke.
The Mother of Dragons was in attendance at the A-list event, along with her co-star Kit Harington. The auction to watch an episode of Game of Thrones with Clarke started off at $20,000, but the race quickly escalated. At one point, the auctioneer hilariously shouted: “Is the King of the North here?!” Unfortunately, Harington had stepped out of the gala to use the restroom at that time.
Meanwhile, Pitt put in a bid of $80,000 and then quickly outbid himself to $90,000. When Harington returned to the room, he offered to sit in on the Game of Thrones episode viewing and upped Pitt’s bid.
Not one to be outdone, Pitt raised the stakes with a bid of $120,000. In the end, Pitt lost out to a gala-goer who put down a whopping $160,000 for the Game of Thrones viewing experience with Clarke.
