We're already into April, but the month has plenty more in store for us at theaters in the coming weeks. While Furious 7 owns the box office, there are a handful of movies coming out that deserve your attention much more than the redundant stunt-heavy franchise does.

You want action? Check out Michael Douglas in a new spin on The Most Dangerous Game, called Beyond the Reach. You want acting prowess? Gary Oldman and Tom Hardy sport Russian accents in the thriller, Child 44. And, if those don't pique your interest, Ex Machina is the sci-fi indie of the Spring; Alex of Venice could be a breakout film for Mary Elizabeth Winstead; and Jonah Hill and James Franco eschew comedy in favor of more dramatic fare in True Story.
