Emily Blunt Turned Her SAG Awards Acceptance Speech Into An Ode To John Krasinski And I’m Wailing

If acting doesn't work out, Emily Blunt has a very bright future in Hallmark Cards.
During the 2019 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday, January 27, Blunt won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for her role in A Quiet Place.
A Quiet Place, in which Blunt co-starred with her husband, John Krasinski, was one of the hottest films of 2018. The post-apocalyptic horror received a 95 percent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes and was hailed by The Guardian as a "brilliantly suspenseful thriller." Krasinski also wrote and directed the movie, which earned nods at the Oscars, Golden Globes, and BAFTAs.
As a visibly shaken Blunt reached the stage, she started in on a speech that ravaged my head and my heart. Dear reader, if you are looking for a reason to believe in love again, look no further.
"I'm so moved and completely lost for words and unprepared," Blunt said. "I am going to share this completely with my husband, John Krasinski, because the entire experience of doing this with you has completely pierced my heart directly."
"You are a stunning filmmaker," she continued. "I'm so lucky to be with you and to have done this film with you. Thank you for giving me the part. You would have been in major trouble if you hadn't."
As the modern day Mary Poppins spoke, Krasinski welled up in tears, occasionally looking away to compose himself.
Later on, Blunt told reporters the couple was completely taken aback by Blunt's big win.
"He probably was as shocked as I was!" she said, according to EW. "It was very unexpected — an incredible category and certainly not something I planned for. I think he was just overjoyed. His face was a bit of a blur to me, but I’ll find out how he felt when I see him."
Blunt and Krasinski wed in 2010. The couple share two daughters, Hazel and Violet Krasinski.
