While Charlie Sheen Wins, Jon Cryer Interns for Ellen DeGeneres

(Getty Images)more pics » Jon Cryer (Getty Images) With some extra time on his hands, Jon Cryer started a new job yesterday: interning for Ellen DeGeneres.

The Two and a Half Men star stars in a short clip released by the show, in which Cryer answers phones for Ellen and mans the front desk.

"I needed the work," he explains.

It's the first time Cryer has, however obliquely, commented on Charlie Sheen's very public meltdown, which has seen the hit CBS sitcom canceled for the remainder of the season, and the show's future itself highly in question.
