There's A Starbucks Coffee Cup In 'Game Of Thrones'

Game of Thrones is a show of details. And director David Nutter missed one during last night's fourth episode of Season 8. "The Last of the Starks" is a celebration. The Night King is dead! The survivors left at Winterfell burn the ones they've lost as the episode opens, but a giant party commences soon after.

During the feast and the beer blast afterwards, the Great Hall of Winterfell becomes a rager and, lost amongst the pitchers and goblets, is a lone, very modern-looking cup of coffee sitting between Jon and Daenerys at the main table. Someone blew it.

Twitter, as one might expect, had plenty to say.

It's even happened before!

Executive producer Bernie Caulfield admitted the coffee cup was simply a mistake, of course, in an interview with WNYC
